CECCO Trading Timber Holdings Shortens Name

Changes Name to Timber Holdings Intl. in a Move to better Reflect Company Mission and Philosophy

Company officials at CECCO Trading Timber Holdings, Inc. today announced a change in their corporate name to better reflect their current business. The new name Timber Holdings Intl., according to President and CEO, Brian Lotz is more descriptive of the core business the company serves. “We started out in the tanning chemical business under CECCO Trading. Our work with the preservative nature of those chemicals led to our discovery of durable hardwoods and the formation of Timber Holdings as a company to source, import and distribute these unique wood species. Today our total focus is on wood products and so it was only natural to drop the CECCO Trading portion of our name” said Lotz.

Lotz added that Timber Holdings Intl. also is descriptive of the competitive advantage the company has over other importers. “The ‘Holdings’ part of the name is very important in that being first in the industry means we hold or have access to more high quality wood than any of our competitors. That means in most cases we can deliver what the competition can only promise.”
